เมื่อช่วงกลางปี 2016 มีโอกาสได้เดินทางไปทำงานที่นิวยอร์คเป็นเวลาสองอาทิตย์ ทริปนี้มีความประทับใจหลายอย่าง แต่วันนี้จะมาเล่าให้ฟังถึงหนึ่งใน highlight สำคัญ คือประสบการณ์สุดประทับใจในการนั่งเครื่อง Emirates A380 ชั้นธุรกิจ Business Class ที่มนุษย์เงินเดือนอย่างเรา อยากลองนั่งมานาน มาดูกันนะคะว่าจะสะดวกสบาย และเอ็กซ์คลูซิฟขนาดไหน ถึงจะเคยนั่งชั้นธุรกิจของหลายๆสายการบินมาแล้วแต่ก็ตื่นเต้นค่ะ เพราะได้ยินกิตติศัพท์เรื่องความสะดวกสบายเหนือชั้น รวมถึงอาหารและเครื่องดื่มที่อร่อย หลากหลาย และบริการที่ดีเยี่ยมของ Emirates Business Class มานาน

In mid-2016, I went on a business trip to New York for two weeks. It was one of my memorable trips. One of the highlights of this trip was the super exclusive and comfortable experience with the Emirate A380 Business Class flight. As many of you, I had been wanting to try it for a long time. Follow me to see how it went!

เรามาเริ่มต้นรีวิวกันที่ห้องรับรองชั้นธุรกิจ Business class Lounge ที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิกันเลยนะคะ เที่ยวบินที่FoodSpace จะขึ้น เป็น flight ดึก เครื่องออกประมาณตีหนึ่ง เราไปถึง lounge ตอนประมาณห้าทุ่ม สิ่งแรกที่เห็นตอนเดินเข้ามาคือพื้นที่ที่กว้างขวาง มีที่นั่งหลายที่หลายแบบ ทั้งแบบโซฟาเดี่ยว (couch) ไว้ให้นั่ง relax สบายๆหรือเป็นโต๊ะอาหาร ที่ให้ผู้โดยสารนั่งทานอาหารอย่างจริงจังได้ ตอนที่ไปถึงคนไม่เยอะ หาที่นั่งได้ง่ายๆ แถมนั่งติดหน้าต่าง สามารถนั่งดูเครื่องบินและrunway เพลินๆไปได้ด้วย

Let’s first explore the Business Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport. I took a late-night flight, so I arrived at the lounge around 11pm. When I walked in, I saw that the lounge was very spacious. There were many seats to choose from. They have couches for passengers to relax as well as dining tables for passengers to properly enjoy their meals. When I arrived, there weren’t many people, so it was very easy to find a good seat. I was already impressed!

อาหารที่lounge มีให้เลือกแบบทั้งเป็นมื้อจริงจัง มีทั้ง appetizer, main course และ ของหวาน หรือถ้าใครไม่หิวมากก็มี snack และดริงค์ให้ทานกันกรุบกริบ เมื่อหันไปทางมุมห้องทำให้ตาลุกวาวคือส่วนของบาร์ มีดริงค์ให้เลือกหลากหลายชนิด และที่เป็นของโปรดของFoodSpace คือ champagne ที่นี่มี Moet and Chandon ให้ผู้โดยสาร enjoy กันอย่างเต็มที่ เปิดขวดแช่น้ำแข็งไว้สามารถเดินมาเติมได้ไม่อั้น อันนี้ฟินจริงๆค่ะ Emirates Business Lounge offers proper meal with appetizers, main courses and desserts as well as some light snacks if you’re not that hungry. When I turned towards the very end of the lounge, I found what I was longing for, a bar! It wasn’t a usual boring kind of a bar that you always see in airways lounge. They had quite a lot of variety and what I liked the most was “they serve Moet”!. When I walked by, they just opened a new bottle of Moet and Chandon. I poured a glass, grabbed some snacks and then I knew that this would be quite an amazing trip!

การเดินทางไปนิวยอร์คนั้น ต้องไป transit ที่ดูไบ ขากรุงเทพฯ-ดูไบนั้น เราได้นั่งชั้นธุรกิจในเครื่อง Boeing 777 อาจจะหรูหรา ไฮโซไม่เท่า A380 แต่ก็กว้างขวาง facility ก็จัดเต็มใช้ได้เลย ระหว่างรอเครื่องขึ้น พนักงานต้อนรับจะมาแนะนำตัว แจกtoilettery (เครื่องห้องน้ำ) พร้อมกับเสิร์ฟเครื่องดื่มเย็นๆ แน่นอนอย่างเราต้อง champagne อีกสักแก้วค่ะ

Traveling to New York, I had to transit in Dubai. The Bangkok-Dubai route, the airline used Boeing 777. It had plenty of leg room and it was as comfortable as a normal flat-bed business class seat.

ชั้นธุรกิจของโบอิ้ง777 ทุกที่นั่งมีจอ monitor 2 จอ จอด้านหน้าส่วนใหญ่จะใช้ดูหนัง ส่วนจอเล็กๆข้างๆจะใช้ในการปรับเอนเบาะที่นั่งและเล่นอินเตอร์เน็ต เครื่องยังไม่ขึ้นเลยก็มีของเล่นให้เล่นสนุกละ! They offered full-range of facilities, including two monitor screens, a toiletry bag (Bvlgari) and good food service.

ลืมบอกไป toiletry หรือเครื่องห้องน้ำต่างๆเค้าใช้ Bvlgari ค่ะ เลิศ!  เครื่องขึ้นสักพัก เขาก็เริ่มเสิร์ฟอาหารเช้า อิ่มแล้วก็หลับยาวไปจนถึงดูไบ After taking off, breakfast was served. Then, I slept all the way until we reached Dubai. 

มาถึงดูไบแล้วก็เดินตรงไปที่ lounge เลย ผู้โดยสารมาใช้บริการค่อนข้างเยอะ แต่ก็ยังมีที่นั่งเหลือให้นั่งพักได้สบายๆ เพิ่งตื่นมาใหม่ๆต้องการกาแฟด่วนๆๆ หันซ้ายหันขวามาเห็นคนต่อแถวที่เคาเตอร์นึงอยู่ โห...ดีใจมา เขามีร้านกาแฟ Costa มาให้บริการฟรีๆ FoodSpace ได้ café latte ร้อนๆหนึ่งแก้ว มีแรงไปสำรวจ lounge ต่อได้ทันที Once arrived in Dubai, I went straight to the business class lounge. It was huge. Just woke up, I needed caffeine so bad. Inside the lounge, I turned at one corner and I saw a line of people waiting for a coffee at Costa, one of my favorite franchise coffee places in the world! Got one café latte and I was ready to explore.

Lounge ที่นี่มีขนาดใหญ่มาก ที่นั่งเหลือเฟือ มีอาหาร ของทานเล่น และเครื่องดื่มมากมายจัดเตรียมไว้หลายมุม กว่าจะสำรวจครบทุกมุมก็ใช้เวลานานอยู่เหมือนกัน บุฟเฟต์ในloungeนี้มีอาหารน่าสนใจหลายอย่าง ทั้งเป็นฝรั่งจ๋าๆ และอาหารแนวอาหรับ รสชาติใช้ได้ ความหลากหลายเทียบเท่ากับบุฟเฟต์โรงแรมได้เลยทีเดียว พอดีว่ายังเช้าอยู่ เราเลยไม่หิวมาก ชิมอาหารได้ไม่เยอะ กะว่าจะไปลุยทีเดียวบนเครื่อง A380 เพราะได้ข่าวว่าเด็ดมาก รอดูกันค่ะ  There were numerous food corners with a lot of food and drinks to choose from. The food tasted okay and the variety was extensive. I wasn’t that hungry so I didn’t try a lot of dishes. I was also waiting to taste the spectacular food on A380, my next flight to New York!         

และแล้วในที่สุด เราก็เดินเข้ามาบนเครื่อง A380 ตื่นเต้นมากๆ ขณะที่เดินเข้ามาเห็นห้องโดยสารขนาดกว้างขวาง มีพนักงานต้อนรับยืนคอยให้ความช่วยเหลืออยู่ตลอดทาง เบาะนั่ง business class นั้นแบ่งกันเป็นสัดเป็นส่วน คนที่นั่งริมหน้าต่างเหมือนมีมุมส่วนตัวเป็นของเราเองเลย เวิร์คมากๆ

Eventually, the wait was over! I was now in the A380 flight. Hooray… I was so excited, the cabin was very spacious and the seating looked great. As I walked in, there were a number of flight attendants waiting to help when needed. I sat down at my seat. The window seat was totally separated from others. It was like I had my own private corner on this aircraft. I loved it! 

เมื่อมาถึงที่นั่ง สำรวจซ้ายขวา ทำให้เห็นว่าเขาให้พื้นที่ใช้สอยส่วนตัวเยอะจริงๆ ที่วางขาข้างหน้าทำให้สามารถเหยียดขายาวได้ แถมมีช่องใส่รองเท้าไว้ด้านล่างไม่ให้เกะกะ หันมาข้างๆตัวมีมุมบาร์น้ำส่วนตัวที่เขาให้น้ำเปล่า น้ำส้ม น้ำอัดลม และน้ำแร่ไว้เพื่อให้เราหยิบดื่มเองได้อย่างสะดวก เบาะที่นั่งก็สบายสุดๆ ยังไม่ทันออกเดินทางก็ตื่นเต้นละ เรามาดูกันต่อว่ามีไรน่าสนใจอีก

When I turned to my side, I realized that I had my own minibar where I could easily get drinking water, orange juice, soft drink and mineral water whenever I wanted. How cool was that! While waiting for the flight to take off, I ordered a champagne while continuing exploring all the gadgets around me. Let’s see what other amazing things Emirates had to offer in this flight.

พอเครื่องขึ้นแล้ว เราก็เดินสำรวจไปที่ท้ายเครื่องบิน Oh my god! ในที่สุดก็ได้เจอสิ่งที่รอมานาน ด้านหลังเครื่องบินนั้นมีบาร์เครื่องดื่มและของทานเล่นไว้บริการผู้โดยสารอย่างครบครัน มีbartenderอัธยาศัยดี คอยถามอยู่ตลอดว่าต้องการจะรับอะไรบ้าง แนะนำเครื่องดื่มโน่นนี่นั่นอยู่ตลอด เขามีบริการทั้ง liquor ไวน์ เบียร์ ค๊อกเทล และเครื่องดื่มที่ไม่มีแอลกอฮอล เอาละ ลุยเลยละกัน!

Once in the air, I rushed to the back of the plane. Then, I finally saw what I was waiting for… an amazing full service bar! They had all the drinks one could ever think of as well as many types of snacks. Their variety of liquor, wine, beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks was impressive.

เราเริ่มต้นจากไวน์แดงมาทานกับ snack ตรงบาร์นี้มีเบาะที่นั่งไว้ให้ผู้โดยสารนั่งชิลถ้ารู้สึกเบื่อที่นั่งของตัวเอง หรือจะเอาเครื่องดื่มและอาหารไปทานที่ที่นั่งตัวเองก็ไม่ว่ากัน ส่วนเราเริ่มอยากดูหนังแล้วสิ รับไวน์แดง snack มาทานตอนดูหนังดีกว่า ฟินกันไปเลยเชียว! สักพักเขาก็มาเสิร์ฟอาหารเช้า แหม่...อิ่มหนำสำราญจริงๆ ดูหนังไปสักพัก อ้าวหมดแก้วแล้ว เอายังไงดีเราเดินมาที่บาร์ใหม่เลยละกัน คราวนี้มารับ champagne ค่ะ บนเครื่องเขาเสิร์ฟ Veuve Clicquot รสชาติดี แช่เย็นๆทานกับ snack อร่อยเลิศค่ะ! 

I started with red wine with a mini-sandwich. By the bar, there was also a seating area for passengers to enjoy their drinks and chill. But if you’d rather have privacy, you were also welcome to bring the food and drinks from the bar to enjoy at the comfort of your seat. I hanged out at the bar for a bit and returned to my seat. After a while, they began serving breakfast. I enjoyed the food while watching movies and series. Their on-flight entertainment was remarkable. You wouldn’t have much chance to be bored on this flight! I then continued my feast with bottom-less chilled Veuve Clicquot (one of my favorite champagne). I was in heaven!

เมื่อหนังท้องตึงหนังตาก็หย่อน พนักงานต้อนรับเดินมาถามว่าจะให้ปูที่นอนให้ไหม แน่นอนค่ะ จัดการได้เลย เราก้าวออกมาให้พนักงานต้อนรับจัดการนำฟูกมาวางทับเบาะที่นั่ง และนำผ้าปูที่นอนมารอง แถมมีหมอนมาให้อีกใบอีก โอ้โห... นอนสบาย เหยียดยาวอย่างกับอยู่ในโรงแรมเลยค่ะ ด้วยความที่ flight ยาวมาก หลับๆตื่นๆหลายรอบก็ยังไม่ถึงซักที ที่ประทับใจมากๆคือ นอกจากเมนูอาหารที่มีให้ในมื้อหลักๆแล้ว ในคืนนั้นถ้าผู้โดยสารคนไหนหิว เขายังมีเมนูมื้อดึกเบาๆสามารถสั่งกับพนักงานต้อนรับเมื่อไหร่ก็ได้ เราตื่นมาหิว เลยสั่งซุปร้อนๆ กับชาเขียวหนึ่งถ้วย อุ่นท้องนอนหลับสบายได้อีกตื่น แฮ๊ปปี้จริงๆ

When it was getting late, the flight attendant asked if I wanted her to make my bed. Of course, I said “yes, please”. Then, I stepped out to watch her working on it. She was so professional and quick. In less than 5 minutes, I could lay down on a long and comfy bed. Because the flight was so long, I woke up and went back to sleep many times. Sometimes, I also felt hungry when I woke up! Good thing was, apart from the main meals, they also offered light bites whenever the passengers wanted throughout the flight. So, I ordered hot mushroom soup with green tea. Wow… it was so soothing! After that, I went back to sleep again.

ก่อนเครื่องลง พนักงานต้อนรับก็เสิร์ฟดินเนอร์ แต่ละคอร์สใช้วัตถุดิบคุณภาพ และรสชาติดีเหมือนทานอาหารอยู่ในร้าน fine-dining เลย แถมตบท้าย แจก chocolate truffle ให้ chocolate lover ทั้งหลายฟินไปตามๆกัน While approaching New York, a full-course dinner was served. The products that they used to prepare each dish were of high-quality and the meal was delicious. It was like eating in a fine-dining restaurant! At the end of the meal, they offered us a box of chocolate truffles. A chocolate lover like me was overjoyed!

หลังจากได้มีโอกาสนั่งflightสุดอลังการนี้ แม้ว่าจะได้นั่งชั้นธุรกิจของหลายสายการบินแล้วแต่ FoodSpace รู้สึกว่าflightนี้ถือเป็นflightที่น่าประทับใจที่สุดตั้งแต่เคยนั่งเครื่องบินมา ทั้งด้านบริการ รสชาติและคุณภาพของอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม รวมถึงอุปกรณ์อำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ แนะนำว่าถ้าใครมีโอกาส ขอให้ลองนั่งเครื่อง A380 ของ Emirates สักครั้งในชีวิต แล้วคุณจะเข้าใจว่าสุดยอดของความสะดวกสบายและเอ็กซ์คลูซิฟนั้นเป็นอย่างไร

All in all, this was by far the most impressive flight I have ever taken even if I had been on many Business class of many airlines! I suggest that if you have a chance, you should try experiencing the exclusivity and comfort of Emirates A380 once in your life!
